My hope is that your child will have a homework routine. Homework habits require some parental involvement at this level. Your assistance is important in developing a positive homework experience. Most of all, you can encourage your child by showing interest and demonstrating helpful attitudes toward homework.
MATH
Students are expected to complete one Math Fact Fluency page each night:
1. Students should be timed 3 minutes each night, marking the question they ended on.
2. They should then take their time completing the remainder of the page.
3. Parents, please check their work and circle any incorrect answers.
4. Students should attempt the circled problems again.
READING
Students are expected to read 20 minutes each night:
1. Students should read a book equal to their reading level.
2. Students can read silently, to family members, pets, even stuffed animals!
3. Parents, please initial the date on your students reading calendar. A new calendar will be given out each month.
Homework is expected to be handed in each Friday. This includes both the Math Packet, and the Reading Calendar.
